foreclosure in the suburbs

After a cloudy sunrise, I pondered the empty run-down house that I pass by everyday on the way to and from Top of the World Park.

This house borders the park and I can remember when the backyard landscaping and covered patio were a sight to behold, a place of rest and peace, cool respite from the hot summer sun. Not any more. I wonder what painful secrets hide behind the walls of this house now.

The world is full of sad stories... yeah, you have to wonder what happened.

Our next door neighbors moved out in a huff. Nobody (not even the little girl's best friend) knew they were leaving. Must be something like that, another neighbor thinks they might be trying to escape the mortgage.

I will miss their cat (Claw) but hope he stays with them instead of coming back here. We love him to pieces but don't need another cat right now.
