I agree with Paul. WOW! I looked at the others in the series. It's amazing to me that it's the same place just a little time between pictures. The ultra-red ones look like they are photoshopped to look that way, but I know they are not. It's just that bizarre other-wordly lighting that you are there to capture in those first few moments of daylight. Extraordinary. Like a secret show just for you. A special little world that only exists for a few moments each day and for a few special people who are up and out and paying close attention. v
Thank you! This fleeting color never ceases to amaze me. I don't use photoshop. I do underexpose many of my shots when I take them, only to try and get the intensity of color that I am seeing - not to alter it from reality. You have to be there to see it - or trust me!! And keep in mind that this very deep red or sometimes orange or pink usually occurs at least 30 minutes or more before sunrise, so you do have to get up and out early!!
There are frequently walkers out there with me if I am at any of these lakes. Later there is a whole different crowd once the sun comes up!

I check every day just to see what you have seen that morning. Awe inspiring color.
