skies over Albuquerque

Before I headed down to Albuquerque, I was worried about the prospect of living in the desert. It will never be my choice of places to live. I miss the mountains and the lakes. However, the skies are breathtaking. My sister’s house has a flat roof and I can climb out the window to take photos. Last night, the sky was totally spectacular. I got out on the roof just in time to catch the end of the show.

Have you ever thought of doing some time lapse stuff? I'd love to see a quick series of your sunrises and sunsets.

I like this idea and will try it when I get the chance. On weekday mornings, I am just arriving at my work-site at sunrise and have little time or opportunity to do much. I feel out of my niche on weekends and am still struggling to find comfortable places to photograph. This may have to wait until I get home. Sunset seems like my best option now - maybe from my sister's roof, like this shot!

Spectacular for sure.

I lived in ABQ for several years - twice! Most of my cuckoo relatives flocked there, which is the main reason I keep my distance.
