Cidadas - everywhere you look
The woods are full of the sound of cicadas. It is so loud as to be deafening at times. Today, it seems there are cidada shells on every possible surface from the bark of the cottonwood trees to the dead downed branches on the ground.

I agree - incredible shots. Some people were just born to take pictures, and you are one of them!
So that's what that little beasty looks like! I hear them all of the time, but never see them! Great shots!
I wear cicada shells on my cloths at every opportunity.
