Some critters run above, some below. I laugh every spring when the snow melts and you can see the well worn tunnels the voles make between the grass and the snow. Daily paths to foraging for dinner and back. Looks like your little critters feel free to wonder above.
These little tracks remind me of all of the crab tracks that I see on the sand dunes when we go to the beach.
