Mother nature had a special treat in store for me this morning. Besides the beauty of a colorful sunrise, I watched a coyote cross the frozen lake. I couldn't get very close but the moments passed with my complete rapt attention. I chatted with an elderly man walking his dog. When I excitedly pointed out the coyote, he said, "Oh, there are usually two!"

Something tells me that you'll be visiting this spot a lot more often this winter. I have a sneaking suspicion that we'll see two coyotes soon. :-) I know what you mean about the rapt attention. Sometimes the subject is so interesting that we want to watch it rather than shoot it. Nice, moody shot.
